Description

Our Photinia Carre Rouge (Photinia x fraseri 'Carre Rouge') Topiary Mini Standards, also known as Topiary Lollipops, are a popular choice for planting into containers.

Photinia 'Carre Rouge is a hardy evergreen that produces deep, vibrant red foliage turning to deep green as it matures. Small white flowers appear in April. In comparison to the better known Photinia Red Robin', the 'Carre Rouge' variety is slower growing, more compact and less sprawling, with smaller leaves and a stronger, more intense red colouring on the new growth.

In terms of management,' Carre Rouge' is a much easier variety to maintain and is also more tolerant of hard pruning.

Requires full sun and moist but well drained soil. Will tolerate dappled shade.
