Description

Also known by the common name Tawhiwhi, Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Elizabeth' is a bushy evergreen shrub with attractive silvery-grey, wavy-edged leaves bordered by a creamy margin that is tinged with pink. In sprimg/summer it blooms with scented deep-purple star-shaped flowers.

Plant Pittosporum 'Elizabeth' in a sheltered location in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Although hardy in most frosts, it will need protection from cold, drying winds.

This delightful evergreen shrub will grow to a fairly large size if left to grow unrestricted but takes time to get to such size so is easy to maintain and keep smaller. It will grow to a maximum height and spread of between 2.5 and 4m.
