Description
Persicaria affinis 'Darjeeling Red' makes a colourful ground cover plant. It is a mat-forming, semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial with gorgeous plumes of pink flowers which can gradually deepen and become red, if growing conditions are good. It flowers reliably between July and October and attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies to the garden. The mid-green leaves take on warm hues in autumn for extra colour!
This low-growing and fully hardy perennial grows in almost any soil and likes full sun or partial shade. Height and spread is to 50cm.
