Description

Miscanthus 'Gracillimus' is an outstanding ornamental grass and makes an eye-catching garden focal point or planting centrepiece, especially if you are looking to add height, movement and texture to your garden.

Also called Chinese SIlver Grass or Maiden Grass, this striking and popular grass has a dense upright habit with slim, arching leaves featuring a white central stripe. In late summer silky, curved, creamy-grey flower panicles are produced, which float above the foliage and become tinged with purple as they age creating further visual appeal.

Miscanthus 'Gracillimus' will grow in any moist, well-drained soil but needs a full sun position to thrive.

This clump-forming deciduous grass grows to around 1-1.5m high and 0.5-1m spread. It is very low maintenance only needing dead foliage and old flower stems removing in spring.
